For a doctor who purchased an apartment adjacent to his existing apartment, we broke through the common wall between the apartments and combined them.

This combination conveniently took place at the existing kitchens, so that in accordance with the owner's vision, we could combine them into a grand dining room and kitchen and bar area which is at the heart of the newly expanded apartment.

The key design feature was to provide a strong lighting design and ceiling architecture solution that results in the not-high existing ceilings giving the illusion of being higher due to the recessed lighting "beams"
